What’s occurring
Spring is in the air and is a welcome change after all the snow and especially rain that we’ve been having. However it’s still nippy at night and our boiler broke last night. Indeed a plumber is fixing our boiler as I write, so hopefully it’ll soon be back in action. Luckily it doesn’t affect the studio as it also has a powerful gas fire – not to mention the studio lights kicking out lots of heat. You’ll always be warm and welcome in our private studio 
Spring is also the time for new life, so it’s not surprising that we’ve had several inquiries for pregnancy photography followed with newborn photos. The most recent inquiry was from a lady whose already seven months pregnant but we’ve found a convenient time for her to come over from London. I went to the fabric remnant shop in Felixstowe this morning to buy some more fabrics especially for pregnancy photography, so watch out for great new pictures of beautiful mums-to-be this spring.
4/3/2010 – Imke, said I should point out the that Remnant shop in felixstowe is not off cut materials. The shop actually stocks a huge range of materials on large rolls and is a real treasure trove. It’s also been renamed since I last went and is now called Frabic 8.
Imke had some of our friends over for a glamour makeover day. Everyone had a lot of fun and loved the whole experience. However as we discovered this really limits what is possible to cover in the limited time. So individual sessions as we’ve always done before, and giving you plenty of time is definitely the best way forward.
The website has undergone a radical face lift. In Newsletter #4 I mentioned that I was reviewing the packages to better meet your needs. During the process I decided that some reorganisation was required to make things more logical and easy for you to find what you’re looking for. Now you’ll find client testimonials etc. are under Information and all the boudoir experience packages are under Boudoir Photography Photo Sessions. Sessions now start at only £150 with the Impression session. The session titles have been renamed to make it clear what they relate to. Unfortunately I haven’t quite finished yet and there will be two new sessions coming VERY soon; Romantic Couples and Outdoors/Location. And of course the Blog for more in depth news, views and highlight photos.
As business grows it’s becoming difficult to keep track of existing clients and new inquiries for both boudoir and weddings. I’ve looked at several applications over the last month or so and have finally decided to purchase a database system designed by another professional photographer who understands the photography business. I’m in the process of entering information to keep track of photos bookings at every stage from first contact to completing your orders. If you’ve contacted me but haven’t heard back in while – please do chase me 
And I will get back to you as I get the new working system sorted.
