Lets start with a competition worth £300!
The weather is finally getting warmer and everywhere is full of colour with plants growing new foliage and flowers coming up all around.
So this competition is for a FREE outdoor location photo session at your suggested location. And it doesn’t have to be outdoors. If you own or have access to an interesting building, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be perfect
All you need to do to enter is to complete the form at the bottom of this newsletter. Give me your idea for your perfect photo shoot. Imke and I will select the lucky winner and arrange your photo shoot in early June.
The only stipulation is you’ll pose to at least implied nude and agree to have your pictures shown on this blog.
Closing date is 21st May so don’t delay get your entry in today.

Photo Pro Magazine
One of the highlights last month was being invited to contribute to “Photo Pro” magazine for professional photographers. The thrust of the article was on photo opportunities available to couples getting married in addition to their wedding day. Initially the proposition was to write about “Trash The Dress”, which is a fashion photo shoot after the wedding day. But after mentioning I actually do more bridal boudoir photography the editor became interested in this too.
The magazine has gone to press and will be in the June issue. I don’t know what will be included. But I know it features one bride who very kindly agreed to let me use her pictures. Her pictures were especially beautiful with her black lingerie that was complimented perfectly by the burgundy draped velvet background.
Her husband will be blown away by her photos, which are very seductive and sexy. Then he’ll have the thrill to learn she’s featured in a leading magazine for professional photography.
Can you imagine how he’ll become the envy of all his mates?
Watch out for her pictures coming here soon – after she’s married!
Iceland’s Eyjafjallajoekull volcano
Another recent bride’s wedding was disrupted by Iceland’s volcano. The eruption of ash came just the day before she collected her wedding night gift. My heart sank when I heard how they’d planned their wedding in the Bahamas over three years before. The airports were cleared for take-off a few days after they were due to leave. I only hope everything has been resolved and that they’re getting married in the Bahamas now.
Baby girl
Congratulations to Sarah on her beautiful baby daughter. Sarah came up from Kent about two months ago for her fine art pregnancy photos, which she was thrilled with.
All the family will be coming in for a newborn baby photo shoot.
Burlesque school of dancing
A few weeks ago I was approached by the burlesque school of dancing to photograph their clients. I was set to go up to Norwich until I found out it was going to be for regular hen parties on weekends. This clashes with my existing work and they wanted prints sold on the night, which I’m not able to do.
However it does look like a great venture so I gave them a plug with a post, see below.

Performance
I’ve spent a lot of time this month tweaking my websites to improve performance. Hopefully you’ll notice a marked improvement with your pages loading faster than previous visits.
Beauty trolley
Clients will know that our make-up table looks like a bomb’s hit it by the time Imke’s finished applying your make-up. The table’s covered with various foundations, blushers, eye make-ups, lip-sticks, brushes and so on.
All this doesn’t leave much room for your glass of wine or fresh coffee!
We ordered a beauty trolley a couple of weeks ago, which just arrived. Imke’s now organized everything into the various drawers, which should make her life easier and leave the table free for you!

Beauty Tip – Wear perfume EVERY day
Wear a few dabs of perfume to remind yourself of your sexiness. We women tend to “slack off” sometimes when we’re busy. Spraying a dab perfume on your pulse points (inside of wrists, nape of neck) is quick and easy fix to falling in to a rut.
When others catch a hint of your lightly sprayed scent, they want
more. Look for a light, clean smell that will intrigue rather than
offend those around you. The key is being subtle. And the result is priceless.
Action Tip!
Don’t try more than one perfume at a time. Perfumes need time to adjust to your body’s chemical make up and temperature.
If you spray several scents at once, they will not attain their true signature. And you’ll buy a perfume you don’t really like!
