When I first heard about the nude model being arrested in NYC museum yesterday I was sympathetic to their cause. After all the museum has many exhibits depicting the nude form so what was wrong with a live nude exhibit.
Today I learned this was not the case at all. The photographer did not have permission to pose his model in the museum. The model was offered $9,500 to pose for about 30 seconds while the photographer reeled off about 10 shots. At least this was the plan.
However the model ended up being arrested and escorted out of the museum by the police. The photographer, Zach Hyman, appeared to be shocked by what had happened. But after seeing the video in the On Deadline web site I’m not surprised she was arrested as she was dancing around nude in the centre of a display area!
What do you think – should they get the book thrown at them?
