Here’s a sneak preview of vintage glamour photography from Jean’s romantic gifts for him.
Jean from Suffolk loves the nostalgia of pin up photography. So when her husband asked her to have some glamour photography – pin up was her natural choice.
Jean married an American serviceman in the summer. She loved our photographs with the Union flag but of course wanted the Stars & Stripes for her images. I’m delighted to extend our studio props with the American flag
This is a combined wedding and Christmas gift. I’ve been dying to share a few of the pin up photographs with the Stars & Stripes flag but didn’t want to spoil the surprise. However when Jean collected her beautiful Parisian album, she asked if I’d be publishing any images on the website.
He’s hoping Jean will be on the website to show the guys at Lakenheath Air Base, Suffolk. And hence a pre-Christmas sneak preview.
Introducing the Stars & Stripes flag
I love this image of Jean with the Stars & Stripes flag over one shoulder and his Airforce jacket over the other. But felt it needed something beyond the simple white background.
Being inspired by recent webcasts on creating fantasy portraits in Photoshop, I decided to create a grunge background. After adding a grunge texture, I added a deep green colour. The red and blue are dominant primary colours and advance in the image, whist the green is a secondary colour and recedes. This adds depth and really makes it pop.

I asked Jean what specific feature did she like about this product/service?
Jean said “I liked the way you added in things”.
Bonus sneak preview
In addition to the photograph above, here’s one more sneak preview.
The original photograph was Jean although she was lit as suggested in the following image. As a portrait (vertical) image this was great. As the album is landscape (horizontal) format, I decided to add the studio flash light and add narrative to the image. I photographed the flash light after another photography session and then added it to Jean’s original image.

Posing in black lingerie. I added the key studio light later to create a story line.
I asked Jean if she’d recommend this product/service? And if so why?
Jean said, “Yes. I have already told friends about this – how friendly it is.”
