Maternity photography has been a growing phenomenon over the last few years with mothers-to-be having their bump photographed.

These are often partially clothed just showing your bump, implied nude or completely nude.

As this is such a unique and special time in your life, maternity photography is the perfect way to tastefully record this moment so you can remember it always.

This is a new area of photography for me but is a perfect extension to boudoir photography – specializing in finest female portraiture. And as such I’m looking for mums and dads to be, who would like more revealing maternity photography followed up with a new born baby shoot. The main focus will be to create fine art imagery that will most likely be in black & white. But I will include some straightforward portraits as well, which will make perfect gifts for the grand parents if they don’t appreciate fine art.

Below is a picture from a recent photo session with the new born baby from a couple whose wedding I photographed a couple of years ago. This shows the type of imagery I would like to make – artistic and tasteful. I was thrilled when this image achieved a bronze award in the SWPP competition for Baby. Needless to say the couple were also thrilled when they saw their images.
