This should have been the last letter of 2009 but with being so busy fulfilling pre-Christmas orders and then having a short holiday – I just ran out of time ![]()

We decided to have an extras special holiday this year as my daughter is in her final year of A levels and she expects to be off to university next year!
After much deliberation we when to Egypt for the week and saw many of the main tourist attractions of ancient Egypt. Imke and my daughter love history and my son loves the Mummy films so it was perfect.

Beauty Tip – Step off your scales
Are you judging your sexiness by the numbers on your bathroom scales every morning?
If that sounds like you; you’re doing yourself more harm than good. Perhaps you’re beating yourself up because your scales tells you you’ve put on a pound or so. Or you’re binging to celebrate because you’ve lost a little weight – only to find you put it straight back on and then some more.
Many life and personal trainers agree that watching your weight daily can do more harm than good. You may be getting obsessed with the goal of your weight rather than how well you actually feel.
A better guide is how well your clothes fit and how fantastic you look in the mirror.
From my personal experience of training and dieting, I’ve found it best to weigh no more than once weekly and always at the same time of day to reduce changes due to natural fluctuations.
Did you know; to loose 1lb of fat you need to have a deficit of 500 calories a day from your current intake?
That is quite a significant number that is best achieved through diet and exercise. But I digress
If you’re feeling low on energy that may be a sign to cut down on caffeine and/or refined sugar.
If you’re bloated – cut down on the salt. It’s almost impossible not to have an excess of salt if you each any processed foods, so there is no need need to add salt to any food.
Your health is a much about a state of mind as it is body. A healthy mind leads to increased confidence and feelings of sexiness and desirability.
Next time you feel incredibly sexy – make a mental note whether in bed or walking down the street in front of construction workers.
At that moment – was your weight on your mind?
Of course it wasn’t.
Do yourself a favour today. And step off your bathroom scales.
